Early in his career, he spent almost 8 years with Bangkok International Law Office and Dr. Ukrit Mongkolnavin Law Office before becoming one of the founders of LACL.

Archava practices in areas of business & commercial contracts, corporate law, joint ventures, foreign investment, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, construction, employment, and government contracts. Foreign investment, joint venture and shareholders arrangement are parts of his expertise. He has assisted many Thai and foreign investors to invest in Thailand and other countries such as Indonesia and Myanmar, and has been involved in a great number of takeover deals representing both sellers and buyers for acquisition and sale of shares & assets in various businesses such as hotels, department stores, hospitals, office buildings and condominiums, etc.

Archava has provided his legal services in connection with all types of construction and real estate development projects including the construction and concession of the mass rapid transit system (underground trains). Other such services include turnkey design and supply and building contracts for wastewater treatment facilities and factories. Construction dispute resolution is also one of Archava’s areas of practice.

In addition to such practices, Archava has helped his clients dealing with licensing and franchising their businesses and participating in opportunities related to franchise businesses from abroad. During the period of business meltdown and financial crisis in Thailand starting in 1997, he handled numerous matters on due diligence investigation, business rehabilitation, debt restructuring, credit facility, offshore finance & loan, corporate shutdown and related employment lay-offs. When it comes to labor and employment relations, Archava properly advises his corporate employer-clients on many employment issues including unfair treatment and dismissal.

His sound and extensive knowledge of corporate, commercial and business laws of Thailand positions him well to effectively represent the firm’s clients. He always follows a practical and commercial approach in his work, recognizing that a negotiated commercial solution is most often preferred to a litigated one. Many of the commercial projects that Archava has been involved in are characterized by legal complexities requiring both legal skills and in-depth understanding of the clients’ business needs and requirements. His broad background and comprehensive knowledge and experience enable him to advise clients with solutions that are both well-informed and practical – a refreshing approach appreciated by the firm’s business focused clients.

Apart from his practice at the firm, Archava enjoys reading and teaching. He has been teaching at various universities in business law and contract drafting for more than 20 years. He has been invited as a guest speaker for many seminars and conferences in connection with drafting, managing and negotiation of contracts, contract risk management, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, due diligence strategies, and real estate investment. Currently, he is a part time lecturer for the special program at Ramkamhaeng University in major business contracts. Archava has been involved in bilateral trade relationships between Thailand and Russia and is the Vice President at Thai-Russian Chamber of Commerce. He has served as a member of Legal and Contract Sub-Committee of The State Railway of Thailand and S.R.T. Electrified Train Co., Ltd. (Airport Rail Link). He is also a member of working group for drafting of joint investment contract for MRTA Systems (M&E) pursuant to The Private Investments in State Undertakings Act B.E. 2556 (2013) of Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand.
